■ The Starting Point of Sync Logistics

Hakozaki, located in the port area of Hakata, Fukuoka, has always meant more to us than just a yard. It’s where we began.
That’s because this yard was our very first place, starting operations at the same time as the founding of our company.
Also, our office function was near the yard. Today, our Fukuoka office is located in Daimyo Garden City, a modern office complex in the heart of the city, but things were quite different back then.

Back in those early days, our team would commute on foot, through summer heat and even typhoons. Commute all along the main roads to the office, along busy roads where trailers rumbled past and there was barely any shade.. the office and the yard were only about 500 meters apart, allowing for frequent face-to-face communication.

Yard staff would often come by the office to deliver daily reports, hand over keys, or share work updates. Even though we didn’t have the tools and systems we use today. This physical distance created a work environment where people could step in and help each other instantly when needed.

By the way, even today, the nameplate remains on the building once we were in, quietly marking the place where our journey began.
If you’re ever in the area, we hope you’ll stop by.

Now, let’s explore the five key features that make Hakozaki Yard so special.

■ 5 Reasons Why Hakozaki Yard is Chosen??

Hakozaki Yard is not just our first yard. It’s what we call our “mother yard.”
It has played a central role in shaping the way we operate across Japan. The operational standards, equipment layouts, and safety protocols developed here have become the blueprint for all our other yards.

1. Excellent Accessibility
Located right next to the quay and just minutes from the expressway, Hakozaki Yard offers outstanding access by both land and sea.
The location enables fast and seamless logistics operations, making it especially valuable for time-sensitive exports.

2. Fully Paved and High Safety Standards
It is also located in a SOLAS area — a port zone that meets international safety standards for cargo handling and shipping.
Moreover,Because it is a licensed bonded facility, we can securely store and handle cargo that is under customs control, ensuring safe and efficient operations for international logistics.

3. Handle Both Container and RORO Ships
Because Hakozaki Yard is located within a bonded zone, we can handle RORO shipments that require customs clearance.
In addition, our yard is equipped with vanning facilities, making container loading operations possible as well.
This dual capability allows us to offer the most suitable shipping method based on destination, cargo type, and cost. It gives our customers greater flexibility.

4. On-Site Staff for Quick Response
Our employees are always at the yard, which means we can quickly respond to any changes or urgent requests on-site.

5. Inspection and Repairs On Site
The yard is equipped with inspection platforms and has built strong coordination systems with inspection agencies that serve a wide range of destination countries.. It can handle vehicle inspections and minor repairs at the yard, making export preparation faster and easier.

Words and pictures can only show so much. If you drop by Hakata or Hakozaki, we invite you to visit the yard in person.

Thank you very much for reading. We look forward to seeing you in the next edition of Inside the Yard.
