pre-export inspections, customs clearance, and shipping arrangements.
We handle not only RORO ships (vessels solely for automobiles) but also container vessels that require advanced know-how and technology.
Used vehicle exporters use a variety of business models depending on the countries they export to and the clients they have. Therefore, solving profit issues and managing risks take a lot of effort.
By listening to our customers, we identify bottlenecks from a logistics perspective and propose a logistics plan that will improve their profitability and help them achieve business growth.
Used vehicle exporters face a wide range of issues and have varying needs, and the scope and quality of the services they require differ. To provide services that meet their needs, close collaboration with companies that specialize in each area such as trade practices, vehicle management, transport, and shipping is essential.
We have established a strong team by partnering with more than 50 specialized companies nationwide. By sharing our accumulated know-how and success strategies, as well as our customers' challenges and goals, we build logistics services tailored to their needs.
Exporting used vehicles involves many stakeholders such as customers, customs clearance, shipping, and land transport companies, thus the exchange and management of information tend to be complex.
Using our self-developed system called "La-Plus," we centrally manage information necessary for export operations, and share it with stakeholders in real-time. Aside from basic information, photo data, and customs clearance documents for each vehicle, the system also shows the work schedule per container in each yard and the number of containers to be worked on, enabling efficient and systematic operations.
Vehicles transported from auction sites are brought into our yards. Specialized staff check their vehicle identification numbers and the condition of each vehicle (scratches, etc.) when they enter the yard, and perform entry procedures.
After entry procedures are completed, the quality of each vehicle is thoroughly checked. Parts including the engine, tires, and the brakes are checked to ensure there are no problems.
Around 30 to 40 photos are taken for posting on the customer's e-commerce site and other websites. Photos of the vehicle's parts, interior, and exterior can be taken from various angles based on the customer's needs. The photos are managed and shared on "La-Plus," our self-developed sytem where a customer can check and use them anytime.
Security cameras and fences are installed in our yards for the secure storage and management of vehicles until they are exported.
Some countries exported to may require specific inspections and quarantines before shipping. We arrange for specialized inspection companies to conduct inspections based on the standards of the destination country. Cleaning and repairs can be done as needed.
When exporting cargo overseas, customs must be cleared and an export license must be obtained. Well-versed in customs clearance, our staff prepares shipping documents such as invoices, and handles other procedures together with customs brokers.
<By RORO (a ship solely for automobiles)>
Overland transport after exiting the yard up until the wharf
Vehicles that have been granted export licenses leave the yard's storage area and are moved to the wharf where the overland transport company will load them onto the ship.
<By container vessel>
Yard exit / vanning / drayage
Vehicles that have been granted export licenses are moved from the yard's storage area to the vanning stage (exiting the yard), and professional staff load them onto a container (vanning). The vehicles are loaded efficiently and safely so that they do not collapse into each other during ocean transport. After vanning, the container is transported over land to a container yard by our partner drayage company.
"Sync Logistics is not a used car logistics company.
They are a logistics company that creates services and systems for our customers."
Utilizing Sync Logistics as our "quasi-logistics division" and their management strategies
helped us achieve 7 consecutive years of sales and profit growth!
We urgently needed to secure loading space to grow our business,
but we couldn't determine how much loading space was available,
and it was difficult to load our cargo on the ships they were scheduled to be loaded on.
We also wanted to penetrate new markets but there was little information, so our business couldn't expand.
Sync Logistics provided real-time, public, market information
on the loading status using an online app that clarifies costs and quality
and shares business prospects in a timely manner.
We also proposed a logistics plan from the start of market penetration.
We were able to prepare infrastructure ahead of time;
and manpower and production requirements decreased
fueled by 7 consecutive years of sales and profit growth.
Significant overtime hours were eliminated, and logistics concerns were reduced, allowing us to focus
even more on customer service.
